Budva - Montenegro

6th International Conference on Computational Methods for Thermal Problems, ThermaComp 2020, Budva, Montenegro, June 3-5, 2020

Budva is the place known for dozens of secluded and beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear water, huge towering mountains as a beautiful backdrop and an old town to marvel at. The varied relief of this city is a real treasure. Too many coves, cliffs, islands, and reefs (the largest island is St. Nikola, two kilometers long), and particularly the existence of 17 lovely beaches are of great importance.

The Old Town of Budva is one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, unique for its history, setting, and picturesqueness. According to historical sources, it is over two and a half thousand years old, and, as a former Illyrian settlement, it is an unavoidable site on Budva Riviera. It is a unique urban and architectural spot, with a medieval fortress rising from the clear water and surrounding it.

With its narrow marbled streets and small squares, it now houses a plethora of cafes, boutiques, restaurants and galleries. Hiding in the surrounding hills around are ten monasteries, and the picture-perfect St. Stefan is just six kilometers south.
